Evanston's Juarez to Miss Season Sunday, September 16th , 2063 The season is finished for Izzy Juarez of the Evanston Bishops. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Bishops starting pitcher suffered a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Beaumont Drillers. Team doctors said it would take at least 14 months to heal. Juarez has made 13 starts this season, posting 6 wins and 5 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .258 against him and he has 46 strikeouts in 76.1 innings with a 5.42 ERA. |
