Playoffs? No Chance for Black Mountain Thursday, September 6th , 2063 Many Black Mountain Mountaineers fans have already turned their attention to next season, and with good reason. Even with a good chunk of the schedule still left to play, the club was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today. The Mountaineers have missed the playoffs 47 times in their 52 years as a DOUBLE A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 5th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2058. In the last 10 seasons, the Mountaineers have missed the playoffs 7 times. Black Mountain last won the Double A World Series in 2058. |
