Spokane-Fraser Valley Fight Results in Suspensions Tuesday, August 21st , 2063 After an intense confrontation, both the Bulldogs Mike Fonnesbeck and the Black Bears Jonathan Emory were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Spokane-Fraser Valley game. Mike Fonnesbeck will miss 4 games, while Jonathan Emory was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Mike Fonnesbeck commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." So far this season, Fonnesbeck has put up a .222 batting average with 6 hits, 1 home run and 8 RBIs. To date this season, Emory has compiled a 11-3 record with a 3.53 ERA in 22 starts. |
