Turner Tosses No-Hitter Against Pacifica
Thursday, July 26th , 2063
Jeremy Turner was just plain nasty on the mound, overpowering the Pacifica Shamrocks in a complete game no-hitter.
The left-hander used his signature changeup to perfection as the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats waltzed to an easy 17-0 win.
"He was what the kids call 'filthy,'" losing manager Pedro Mercado said later.
In a dominant performance, Turner faced 31 batters in all and finished the game with 12 strikeouts and 5 walks.
"After the first couple of innings, I knew I had some good stuff going," Turner said. "In the bullpen, it really wasn't that good, to be honest. But when I got out on the mound and flipped the switch, I had some pretty good stuff."
So far this season, Turner has a record of 13-2 with 201 strikeouts and 72 walks in 138.2 innings and a 3.50 ERA.
