Wolves Lose Oude Nijhuis for Season Tuesday, June 20th, 2028 The doctors have spoken and Ger Oude Nijhuis of the Lake of the Isles Wolves didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Oude Nijhuis sustained his season-ending injury during the Temple Goers game yesterday at Goers Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Lake of the Isles medical staff reported Oude Nijhuis had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months. For the season Oude Nijhuis has made 25 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 2-1 won-lost mark and a 7.24 ERA. In pitching 32.1 innings, he has totaled 27 strikeouts and 36 walks. |
