Seagulls Blanked by Esgro, 4-0 Tuesday, October 3rd , 2062 An efficient outing for Dan Esgro usually means a win for the Evanston Bishops and today was no exception. The 23-year-old right-hander held the Clearwater Seagulls to a long line of goose eggs. He struck out 11 and gave up 2 hits in the 4-0 shutout. "Dan really got it done out there today," said Evanston manager Demetrio Recchia. Esgro has made 23 starts so far this year and put up a 14-5 won-lost record with a 3.28 ERA.
