Bivins Pitches Mountaineers to 1-0 Win Tuesday, October 3rd , 2062 The Black Mountain Mountaineers did little to support starter Nick Bivins against the Marysville Monarchs, but it turned out he didn't need the help. The left-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Monarchs, striking out 7 and surrendering 3 hits. The performance from Bivins allowed Black Mountain to escape with the 1-0 win, despite an anemic offense. "Nobody came to me and said, 'Nick, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Bivins told BNN reporters following the win.
