League Suspends Ruma 4 Games Wednesday, May 31st , 2062 Adam Ruma has been penalized by the commissioner's office for his verbal and physical assault of an umpire. The second baseman unleashed his fury in protesting a third-strike call in yesterday's Evanston-DeKalb game at The Corn Crib. And now he has to pay for it -- Ruma has been suspended for 4 games for his unacceptable actions. The commissioner said in his statement that the league would have zero tolerance for any contact with an umpire, unintentional or otherwise. Ruma is batting .309 with 0 home runs and 9 RBIs this season. |
