Swayngim Twirls No-Hitter Against Shamrocks Friday, May 5th , 2062 The Rock River Rats relied on no-hit stuff from starter Rich Swayngim to defeat the Pacifica Shamrocks, 4-0, at McCormick Field. "It's quite a thrill," Swayngim told the media afterward. "This is a top-notch league. A no-hitter against any team in the league is something special. I can't believe I did it." To get his name logged in the TML AA records, he stopped Pacifica cold and hitless, surrendering 2 walks and fanning 9 of the 29 batters he faced. Rock River manager Shunso Sato was in a jovial mode after the game, kidding with reporters that Swayngim "made managing easy today." "I didn't have hardly any decisions to make like I usually do," he said. "I didn't even have to come up with a pinch hitter."
