Rowdy Players Suspended by League Wednesday, May 3rd , 2062 If there wasn't a history between Stephen Carrier of Louisiana and Brian Taylor of Beaumont, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Carrier said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." So far this season, Carrier has gotten 5 hits in 27 at-bats for a .185 batting average with no home runs. His stats include 3 RBIs and 4 runs scored. He has played in 12 games. In the current season in 6 starts, Brian Taylor has a record of 1-1 with 20 strikeouts in 27.2 innings and a 4.23 ERA. |
