RAA Cy Young Award Goes to McCloud

He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Josh McCloud performed like a veteran on the hill for the Moose Jaw Canucks and walked away with the RCL AA Cy Young Award in the process.

The 25-year-old Canucks star fashioned a 14-7 won-loss record in 2061 with a 3.19 ERA. In 205.2 innings of work and 30 starts, McCloud struck out 157 while giving up 203 hits and 54 walks. He held opposing batters to a .262 average.

He received 14 first place votes out of a possible 28. Corey MacIndoe of the Kelowna Rockets finished second in voting with 9 first place votes, while Chris Finley of the Adirondack Lumberjacks finished third with 2 first place votes.
