Myers Crushes 3 Homers Against Waimea
Monday, September 8th , 2064
At The Wind Tunnel, John Myers hit homer after homer after homer. But they didn't add up to enough to beat the Waimea Wind as the Fairfield Flash went down to defeat, 11-7.
"It was a good game for me, not so good for our team," the Fairfield left fielder said. "I got lucky. I made some good swings on some pitches. We just didn't put up one in the win column."
On his monumental day, he had 4 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 4 runs, and scored 3 times.
"The third one was totally unexpected," Myers told reporters after his extraordinary game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get another home run and bang, I got number three."
John Myers hit a two-run home run off Mark Weston in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Mark Weston in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Tristan Cooperman in the 8th.
So far this season, Myers has gotten 147 hits in 495 at-bats for a .297 batting average with 34 home runs. His stats include 91 RBIs and 95 runs scored. He has played in 124 games.
