Calgary Loses Roberto Mendez for Season Monday, August 25th , 2064 Playoff hopes of Cowboys player Roberto Mendez have been dealt a blow today after tests revealed the starting pitcher suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow throwing a pitch in today's game against Waimea Wind. Mendez is expected to miss up to 11 months, effectively ruling him out of the playoffs. For the year, Mendez has compiled a 4-1 record with a 1.82 ERA. |
