Henricks and Martin Suspended, Out 2 Games Thursday, June 5th , 2064 Reno and Bowling Green were informed today by the league's commissioner that two of their players have been given 2-game suspensions, citing their "inappropriate actions" in the recent altercation in a game played at Top of the Hill. For their parts in the bench-clearing episode, the Raiders Josh Henricks and the Racers Brandon Martin will be sitting on the sidelines and will not be permitted to participate in games until the suspensions are served. This year, Henricks has hit at a .245 pace and produced 34 RBIs, 11 home runs and scored 32 runs. To date this year, Martin has fashioned a 4.22 ERA over 10.2 innings with a 1-0 record. He has made 8 relief appearances with 10 strikeouts and no saves. |
