Peoria Stymied by Mims
Sunday, May 18th , 2064
Gary Mims was in a mood to talk following the Pasadena Bumblebees contest against the Peoria Caterpillars, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Caterpillars, 6-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Mims said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked Peoria on a 1-hitter, allowing 4 walks and racking up 5 strikeouts.
So far this season, Mims has logged a 3-2 record with a 3.88 ERA. He has started 8 games, hurled 55.2 innings and registered 37 strikeouts and 22 walks.
