League Gives Youngblood and Baldato 4-Game Suspensions Saturday, May 17th , 2064 Tempers were flaring yesterday at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. Both the Cowboys and Cacti were defending their turf. A few punches were thrown, but fortunately very few landed -- there was more wrestling than fighting. When the umpires sorted everything out, Calgary's Nick Youngblood and Albuquerque's Vitaliano Baldato were ejected from the game. Today the league office suspended Youngblood and Baldato for 4 games each. This season, Youngblood has hit at a .250 clip with 2 RBIs, 0 home runs and 0 runs scored. So far this year, Baldato has been credited with no saves, registered a 5.59 ERA and struck out 8 in 9.2 innings. He also has a 1-0 record. |
