Top RAAA Reliever Honored

Andy Mitchell was a calming influence out of the Albuquerque Cacti bullpen this season.
His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 24-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the RCL AAA Reliever of the Year Award for 2063.
The Sebree, Kentucky native won the award with 9 saves in 45 relief appearances, 54 strikeouts in 70 innings and a record of 8-6 to go with his 2.96 ERA.
He received 19 first place votes out of a possible 28. Mike Dooley of the Calgary Cowboys finished second in voting with 9 first place votes, while Jim Westberry of the Calgary Hitmen finished third.
