Cowboys Prevail, as Triple A League Championship Goes to the Wire Saturday, October 13th , 2063 The Calgary Cowboys and Calgary Hitmen put on a classic Triple A League Championship that was in question until the final game. In the end, Calgary won the deciding contest by a score of 4-2, to take the series 4-3. "It doesn't get much tighter than that. To win a series in the last game is a thrill," said Michael Morley, who earned series MVP honors for Calgary. "Our guys are breathing a little easier now." For the series, Morley hit .304 with a .429 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Calgary Cowboys will play against the Minneapolis Freeze in the next round. Minneapolis won their series against the Antioch Coal Miners 4 games to 3. The Triple A World Series schedule will be announced after the Triple A League Championship finishes.
