5-for-6 Day for Boyer
Wednesday, July 25th, 2029
The Scranton Escape might think twice next time about pitching to Ken Boyer.
At Cruz Bay Park today, the South Bay Arsenal catcher burned Scranton pitching, going 5-for-6 in a 13-1 South Bay triumph.
"When he's on his game," South Bay skipper Garfield Christian told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded."
Ken Boyer singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
For the season Boyer has produced 93 hits in 352 at-bats for a .264 average with 15 home runs and gotten on base at a .342 clip.
