Alcock Superb Against Albany
Tuesday, July 10th , 2063
Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Albany Firebirds as starter Duane Alcock shut them out, 5-0, at Mckinley Park. The Calgary pitcher struck out 6 and walked 2 while allowing 6 hits.
"Alcock was good but he wasn't flawless," Albany manager Vicente Vargas said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Calgary, but this is on us."
This year, Alcock has gone 3-4 with an ERA of 3.30 and has 75 strikeouts in 87.1 innings.
