Tanner's Season Could be Over
Monday, May 22nd , 2062
The doctors have spoken and Mark Tanner of the Albuquerque Cacti didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Tanner sustained his season-ending injury during the Anchorage Moose game yesterday at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Albuquerque medical staff reported Tanner had a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 11 months.
