Smashing Success: White Wallops 3 HR Saturday, May 6th , 2062 Matt White was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 19-10 Bowling Green Racers triumph at The Carrier Dome. The 22-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Racers past the Tallahassee Captains. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," White told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The second baseman went 4-for-5, rung up 6 RBIs and scored 5 runs on his record-setting day. Matt White hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Craig Mayle in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Earl Shannon in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ryuichi Nishida in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and walked in the 9th. Currently White has 7 home runs and a .324 batting average. |
