Venetz, Peterson Suspended for Fracas Sunday, April 30th , 2062 After an intense confrontation, both the Privateers Steve Venetz and the Black Bears Chris Peterson were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Memphis-Thunder Bay game. Steve Venetz will miss 3 games, while Chris Peterson was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Steve Venetz commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." On the year, Peterson has compiled a 3-1 mark with a 4.99 ERA. |
