Hughes Strokes 5 Hits Friday, October 7th , 2061 Eureka first baseman Mike Hughes had a day to remember, 5-for-6 against the Bloomington Blazers at Arson Arena as the Hornets picked up a win, 10-5. "He was patient up there," Eureka skipper Juan Montés told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Hughes has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." Mike Hughes singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
