Kota Gets 5 Hits Sunday, September 11th , 2061 The 5th time is the charm -- at least for Mace Kota. The shortstop for the Buffalo Bison hit the milestone against the Dallas Texans, helping his club to a narrow 10-9 victory. Kota finished with a 5-for-7 line at the plate. "Kota was a tough out," Dallas manager Gary Stoy told the press in the postgame interview. "If it weren't for him, I think we had this one." Mace Kota flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 11th.
