The hot bat of Pilots third baseman John Popper continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 1-for-5 in today's 12-4 loss to the Luchadores at The Royal Grounds.

"I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in."
John Popper grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.

Popper has collected 196 hits for the Pilots this year, 48 of them home runs. He has also netted 119 RBIs and scored 126 runs while batting .377.
