Luchadores Pitching Ravaged by Escobar
Tuesday, September 6th , 2061
No matter what the Mexico City Luchadores threw at him, Eddie Escobar hit it. He easily handled Luchadores pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Tornadoes triumph, 17-4, at The Royal Grounds.
"The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.
Told of Escobar's quip, Luchadores skipper Prince Percival Papenfuss said he "would take him up on that next time."
Eddie Escobar hit an RBI triple in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Robby Arroyo in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Kadidu Dajan in the 9th.
This season, Escobar is batting .287 with 140 hits, 27 home runs, 96 RBIs, .349 OBP and has scored 85 runs.
