Dallas Snaps Ushijima Streak at 21 Saturday, August 13th , 2061 It was a doubly miserable day for Seiju Ushijima of the Cairo Pharaohs, as he saw his 21-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 3-2, to the Dallas Texans at The Pyramid. The 25-year-old right fielder was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Texans. "Anyone on a 21-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Dallas manager Gary Stoy said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." This year, Ushijima is hitting .345 with 15 home runs. |
