Richie 5-for-5 Against San Francisco Wednesday, July 20th , 2061 The Montreal Mounties stopped the San Francisco Earthquakes by a score of 10-9 at Mount Royal Grounds, with the lion's share of the credit going to shortstop Malik Richie. The 35-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Richie said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Richie did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Earthquakes. "Not much that I can say," offered San Francisco manager Bill DesMarais. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Malik Richie hit a solo-shot off Bobby Saulino in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Bobby Saulino in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and walked in the 10th.
