Chris Romanko, the Montreal Mounties 22-year-old first baseman, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for Thurman Munson League Player of the Week honors. He ripped 12 hits in 23 at-bats, compiling a .522 average with 1 home run and 10 RBIs. This season, Romanko is batting .392 with 105 hits, 14 home runs, 59 RBIs, 26 walks, .449 OBP and has scored 43 runs. He has played in 69 games. |
