Shaw Wins RCL Player of the Week Monday, June 6th , 2061 22-year-old Bobby Shaw sent shock waves through ADULT BASEBALL LEAGUE last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Roberto Clemente League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Shaw made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .522 average, 12 hits in 23 at-bats, 6 home runs and 12 RBI. Where the Pennsylvania Butterflies left fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Shaw certainly made his mark last week. This year, Shaw is batting .304 with 11 home runs and 41 RBIs. In 55 games he has scored 31 times. |
