Ewing Belts 5 Hits Saturday, May 28th , 2061 It was a parade of hits for Shane Ewing of the Cairo Pharaohs at The Corral. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Ewing finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Pharaohs to a win, 7-6. "Ewing was really good and we were really bad," groaned Mavericks manager Lorenzo Castillo. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Shane Ewing singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Eric Hooks in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 9th, doubled in the 11th and flied out in the 13th.
