Injury Takes Toll, Cesar Rios Out Wednesday, April 27th , 2061 A blow for Cesar Rios today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 5 months with a torn labrum. Rios suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the San Francisco Earthquakes are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Rios's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. Thus far this season, Rios has tossed 17.2 innings in 5 starts, fanned 13 batters, walked 8 and put up a 8.66 ERA with no wins and 2 losses. |
