No Hits for Gross, Streak Ends at 21
Wednesday, April 20th , 2061
It was the best of both worlds for the Asheville Moonshiners at Aloha Stadium, as they defeated the Hawaii Honu, 4-3, and also snapped Aaron Gross's 21-game hitting streak. The 18-year-old Hawaii left fielder failed to get a hit in 5 at-bats.

"Nothing personal against Gross, we just wanted to win the game," said Moonshiners skipper Baldassario Ardinghi. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing."

When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Gross frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won."

This year, Gross is hitting .348 with 23 hits, 1 home run, 9 RBIs and has scored 7 runs.
