Done Deal: Hughes for Waugh Monday, February 14th , 2061 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Maple Marauders and the Eureka Hornets have agreed to a deal that will have 24-year old 1B Mike Hughes heading to Eureka in exchange for 18-year old minor league LF Ben Waugh and 24-year old minor league SS Chris Fellenz. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. In his career, Hughes has accumulated a .292 batting average with 461 hits. His totals include 73 doubles, 2 triples, 104 home runs, 506 strikeouts, 252 runs scored, 290 RBIs and a lifetime .358 OBP. |
