Raines Launches 3 HR for Gremlins Tuesday, September 28th , 2060 Whatever Geoff Raines ate for breakfast before his game against the Seattle Sasquatch, it gave him some impressive power. The Houghton third baseman smacked three balls up and out of the park at Golden Goebels Park. His home run barrage helped the Gremlins defeat the Sasquatch, 11-1. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 4-for-5, scored 4 times, drove in 4 and put on a display that history will remember. Geoff Raines singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Mike Hicks in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Mike Hicks in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Roger Fuerte in the 8th. To date this season, Raines is hitting .305 with 19 home runs. |
