Postseason Bid Ends for Vancouver Tuesday, September 28th , 2060 It's now time for the Vancouver Pioneers to start turning their attention to what can be done to help improve the club for next season. The team was formally eliminated from playoff contention today for the 2060 season. "We knew a title was a long shot at this point, but mentally there's a big difference between a tiny chance and no chance at all," said Pioneers starting pitcher Mike Ortner. Before this season, the Pioneers last missed the playoffs in 2058. In the 49 years they have been a ADULT BASEBALL LEAGUE franchise, they have missed the playoffs 36 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Pioneers have made the playoffs 6 times. |
