Locey Stretches Hit String to 20 Saturday, September 4th , 2060 Jason Locey, second baseman for the Walnut Creek Warriors, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 1 hit in his club's 8-7 victory over the Huntington Station Ramrods at Castlerock Field. "Not the outcome we wanted," Huntington Station manager Paco Berroa said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Jason Locey grounded out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, grounded out in the 7th, flied out in the 9th, flied out in the 11th and hit an RBI single in the 13th. This year, Locey has hit at a .314 pace and produced 51 RBIs, 6 home runs and scored 69 runs. |
