Abad, Kirk Suspended for Fracas Saturday, September 8th , 2057 If there wasn't a history between Mario Abad of Buffalo and Leo Kirk of El Paso, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Abad said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." So far this season Abad is hitting .208 with 25 home runs, 53 RBIs and 50 runs scored. He has 94 hits in 451 at-bats and a .290 OBP. This season Kirk has 5 wins and 9 losses and a 3.53 ERA. |
