Bitner Runs Hit String to 38 Straight Games Monday, September 8th , 2064 Earl Bitner has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 23-year-old Maple Marauders first baseman extended his streak to 38 games, going 1-for-4 as Maple got the best of the Pennsylvania Butterflies at The Kaleidoscope, 5-4. "Earl has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Marauders manager Yen-nien Zhou said. Earl Bitner struck out in the 2nd, tripled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and grounded out in the 9th. In the 2064 season Bitner is hitting .319 with 25 home runs. |
