Swing! Swang! Swung! Bennett Smashes 3 HR
Tuesday, June 10th , 2064
Today was a special one for Kevin Bennett of the Pennsylvania Butterflies as he slammed three home runs in the 15-3 Butterflies win over the Kansas City Tornadoes.
"Lately, I've been uppercutting the ball too much," he said to sportswriters after the game. "I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark. No big long outs for me in this game. I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em."
The Pennsylvania second baseman collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 4, and scored 4 runs in the contest at The Kaleidoscope.
Kevin Bennett hit a two-run home run off Paul Alexander in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Paul Alexander in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Ryan Davis in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
This year, Bennett has hit at a .313 clip with 66 hits, 9 home runs, 33 RBIs and 37 runs scored.
