Bye Bashes 3 HR for Buffalo Friday, June 6th , 2064 Sometimes it just isn't enough. Josh Bye had an outstanding day at Ozark Mountain Stadium for the Buffalo Bison, ripping three home runs. Nonetheless, the Bison fell to the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners, 11-6. Bye had a feast at the plate, pounding everything thrown his way. The 26-year-old third baseman banged out 3 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 times and batted in 4 runs. Despite his sensational performance, the Bison were not able to hold off the Ridge Runners. "Baseball is a funny game," Bye said in the post-game interview, "You can't dwell on the reasons for the loss. I'm sure there will be days when I go 0-for-4 and we win. These things tend to even out." Josh Bye hit a solo-shot off Roberto Vallejos in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Roberto Vallejos in the 4th, flied out in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Roberto Vallejos in the 7th. To date, Bye has collected 63 hits for a .306 average. He has posted 19 home runs, scored 33 runs and driven in 42 runs. |
