The Seattle Sasquatch learned that Ethan Jenkins is likely to be out for 8 weeks after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Walnut Creek Warriors. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be elbow inflammation. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Seattle manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Ethan is back in action."

So far this season, Jenkins has a record of 1-3 with 15 strikeouts and 5 walks in 28 innings and a 5.79 ERA.
