So Cal Advances to League Pennant Tuesday, October 23rd, 2029 The So Cal Republic players celebrated joyously after winning the Divisional Championship over the Las Vegas Rattlers tonight at House of the Republic. So Cal punched its ticket to the League Pennant on the strength of a 2-1 win in the clinching game, which sealed a 4-2 series win. "Any time you win a playoff series as a professional it's pretty exciting, but it's even more so when you do it against a team like Las Vegas," said series MVP Tanner Johnson. "We don't know how the League Pennant is going to play out, but we hope it has the same outcome." Las Vegas manager Jean Brunet only spoke briefly to the media after the loss and said dropping the series is "crushing" for his team. For the series, Johnson had a 1.00 ERA over 18 innings pitched. He added 16 strikeouts with a 2-0 record. The So Cal Republic will play against the Havana Stogies in the next round. Havana won their series against the Brooklyn Black Knights 4 games to 2.
