Takuda Gets 5 Hits Tuesday, October 9th, 2029 The Dallas Texans stopped the Las Vegas Rattlers by a score of 16-8 at Metroplex Park today, with the lion's share of the credit going to third baseman Toshiharu Takuda. The 22-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Takuda said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Takuda did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Rattlers. "Not much that I can say," offered Las Vegas manager Jean Brunet. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Toshiharu Takuda singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
