The Math Says - Patriots Out of Playoffs Monday, September 24th, 2029 A late-season playoff push is not in the cards for the Manhattan Beach Patriots. The club today was mathematically knocked out of playoff contention. "There are a lot of long faces around right now," said Patriots manager Randall Hardy. "You know in your head that every year, most teams in baseball have to go through this, but it still hurts when you realize you've lost your shot at a title." Manhattan Beach last appeared in the postseason in 2027. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 13 times in their 17-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Patriots have missed the playoffs 8 times. |
