Mexico City-Cairo Fight Results in Suspensions Monday, September 3rd , 2063 If there wasn't a history between Mike Clark of Mexico City and Scott Tiede of Cairo, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 8 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Clark said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." This year, Clark is batting .314 with 16 home runs. He has scored 39 runs and driven in 48. Up to now Tiede has compiled an ERA of 7.52 with a 3-10 mark over 27 starts. He has 73 strikeouts in 117.1 innings and has held opponents to a .313 batting average. |
