Hornets Win League Pennant Monday, October 30th , 2062 Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the Thurman Munson League League Pennant. It turned out quite a bit different. The Eureka Hornets swept aside the San Francisco Earthquakes to advance to the ABL Championship, winning the final game by a 5-4 score at Golden Gate Park. The series MVP was left fielder Mark Bradford, who hit .471 with a .471 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 5 runs. "We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."
