Blazers Deal de la Torre to Butterflies for Coronado Monday, July 31st , 2062 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Bloomington Blazers and the Pennsylvania Butterflies have agreed to a deal that will have 28-year old SS Dave de la Torre and 25-year old RHP Jason Phillips heading to Pennsylvania in exchange for 21-year old minor league SS Ian Dixon, 17-year old minor league RHP Micah Hawkridge, 16-year old minor league RHP Felix Coronado, 18-year old minor league CF Miguel Rangel, a 1st round draft pick, and a 2nd round draft pick. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. In his season totals, de la Torre has 5 home runs, .323 BA, .365 OBP, 44 RBIs and 48 runs scored. He has played in 91 games. |
