TML Rookie Star Shines Thursday, June 1st , 2062 Junior Leeney is still a bit shy, but then, who could blame the newest Thurman Munson League Rookie of the Month honoree? He hasn't been around the league long enough to fully know the ropes yet, despite the fact that he's putting up veteran-like numbers. In May the San Francisco hitter tagged opposing pitching for a .333 average with 37 hits, 12 home runs and 33 RBIs. This season, Leeney has 17 home runs and a .321 batting average. |
